First activity reasonably calculated to disseminate information about broadcasting employment opportunities to job candidates.

 

Iron Range Broadcasting participated in the Career Fair at Itasca Community College on March 3rd, 2005.  A booth was shared with our affiliated station, KGPZ.  The fair was created to allow an estimated 700 students from area high schools and the college ask questions and gather information about career opportunities in Northeastern Minnesota.  Questions about radio careers were answered and information was handed out.  Participating in the job fair for Iron Range Broadcasting was Dennis Yourczek, General Manager.  

 

 

Second activity reasonably calculated to disseminate information about broadcasting employment opportunities to job candidates.

 

Iron Range Broadcasting participated in an internship program with Lake Superior College beginning on September 27th, 2005.  A student from the college completed 64 hours of hands on training which demonstrated a variety of aspects of broadcasting, including on air work, production, play by play announcing from a sporting event and some administrative work pertaining to programming.  Dennis Yourczek, General Manager, was the principle contact in arranging for the internship while all programming staff members participated in the training and “shadowing” process.
